According to South Korean media reports, Samsung Group Chairman Li Jianxi’s condition is quite serious, the possibility of returning to Samsung is almost zero.
In 2014, Li Jianxi was hospitalized with heart disease for nearly four years. He was still bedridden and unable to make a public appearance.
There were even rumors that Li Jianxi had passed away, but Samsung blocked the news in order to avoid affecting the company, but was denied by Samsung.
Jin Shangzu, chairman of the FTC, disclosed that, according to the report of the SamSung group and the doctors, Li Jianxi had lost communication ability and could not control the Samsung Group’s 62 subsidiaries and Affiliated Companies, at least not effectively.

FTC therefore decided that Li Zairong, the only son of Li Jianxi and vice president of SamSung group, was the head of the Samsung Group, and any company in SamSung group was in charge of Li Zairong.
Earlier, Samsung was low-key in celebration of the company’s establishment of 80th anniversary, but the biggest happy event was that Li Zairong came back.
In February 6, 2018, 353 days after being detained, Samsung’s Prince Li Zairong escaped and was eventually sentenced to two years and six months, suspended for four years, and released in court.
Li Zairong has now returned to the decision-making level to become the actual controller of the Samsung Group, especially the largest shareholder with 17.08% of Samsung’s real holding company.
